Abstract

Median arcuate ligament syndrome is a rare clinical and radiological entity and usually asymptomatic, caused by isolated compression of the celiac trunk. Symptomatic cases present with postprandial abdominal pain associated with vomiting and weight loss. Therefore as it does not involve a common entity, the general surgeon must know this disease in the differential diagnosis of abdominal pain.

We report the case of a pluripathological, young male diagnosed with arcuate ligament syndrome who underwent laparoscopic approach for section of the arcuate ligament.
