Abstract

This is the case of a patient of 76 years with epigastric pain that migrates to the right lower quadrant about 24 hours earlier. It is programmed to operating room and between the fi ndings, the appendix is identified necrotic, located within a hernia sac corresponding to a crural defect. We proceeded to appendectomy and deferred the wall defect correction for a second time.
The outcome was favorable pending hernia defect correction later. We discuss the frecuency of Garengeot’s hernia and Amyand’s hernia and clinical presentation, diagnosis and management.
