Abstract

Many surgeons perform laparoscopic cholecistectomy and surgical exploration of the bile ducts with stone removal, proving to be the most economical route due to their short hospital stay and low frequency of complications. Laparoscopic approach to biliary bypass, which includes laparoscopic latero-lateral choledochoduodenostomy, has been shown to be safe, effective and to have advantages over open approaches. 25 patients were analyzed in whom a laparoscopic latero-lateral anastomosis was performed during the period of January 2010 -July 2017. We evaluated the findings, operative time, postoperative evolution.
84% of patients were women, average age 62 years (23 - 86), 40% had comorbid diseases and 20% had previous cholecystectomy. Average operative time was 120 minutes (95 - 230), complications: 2 (8%) had SSI, 4 (16%) bilirhagia, 1 (4%) choleperitoneum and 2 (8%) residual lithiasis. 3 were reoperated. There was no mortality. We consider that resolution of
cholecystocholedocholitiasis in a single time, through laparoscopic surgery, is a possible and safe option fo
