Abstract

This is the case of an 86 years old lady with Hemosuccus Pancreaticus, recurrent bleeding through the Wirsung duct, who had negative results on the first gastroscopy and CT scan. Later on a new gastroscopy showed bleeding through the Ampulla
of Vater confirmed by GI endo-ultrasound with the Wirsung duct full of clots. Splenic embolization failed, reason why an assisted laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy was performed. Final pathology reported a 20 mm mucinous tubulo-papilar neoplasia of the pancreas.10 months later the patient is doing well free of disease and no bleeding.
