Abstract

Distal pancreatic mucinous tumors are infrequent. It is a pre-malignant tumor and the prognosis depends on resectability and invasion, usually asymptomatic, is basically diagnosed by imaging methods (TEM, RMN,ecography, etc.). Treatment iradical is surgical resection and close follow-up.

The patient had a symptomatic mucinous cystadenoma. Diagnosed by computerized axial tomography. Considering it resectable, she underwent distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy and has begun follow-up.
