Abstract

Esophageal lipomas are rare neoplasms, found incidentally in imaging studies and symptoms are mostly present in larger tumors, treatment is surgical resection. Our case is a 44-year-old male patient with no history of symptoms of odynophagia or
dyspnoea, imaging studies show an ovoid fatty intramural lesion, laparotomy resection and transhiatal approach of an esophageal lipoma, the patient has an uneventful recovery after surgery.
