Keywords:
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, duodenal perforation, colelithiasisAbstract
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (ERCP) is an invasive technique, of diagnostic and therapeutic utility in biliopancreatic diseases.
It is a procedure with a low mortality rate, less than 0.5% in experienced teams.
However, the major and more serious complications, such as duodenal and bille duct perforation, are associated with high morbidity and mortality.
We present a clinical case of a duodenal perforation after CPER in which the evolutionary course of this complication is evidenced, and the complex and multidisciplinary approach is discussed according to current literature.
