Abstract

The clinical scenario in which we admit inguinal hernia patients is extense and complex, thus we require additional techniques, both effective and valid, to deal with this varied hernia pathology. Laparoscopic, especially totally extraperitoneal hernia repair,
becomes invaluable help. “Jorge Reategui Delgado” hospital has abundant abdominal wall pathology. The current communication of this short experience seeks to show the benefits of this procedure in a second level hospital remarking two important features such as: the non-use of the balloon to create the preperitoneal space and not fixing the mesh. In
a search of surgical options for better treatment and patient satisfaction combined with the advantages and advances in endoscopic surgery, we can state that laparoscopic TEP hernia repair is feasible for selected cases including recurrence and bilateralism so making its choice mandatory and rutinary.
